The Consulate is open for Consular clients on working days from Sunday to Thursday between 9:00 and 16:00.
Appeal in C / D visa cases:
Sunday-Thursday: 9:30 -12:00
Collection time of decisions / passports in visa cases:
Sunday-Thursday: 13:30 -15:30

How to get an appointment:
Appointments for the D type visa applications and classical consular cases shall be requested and given by the Consulate in advance only by phone: +98 21 7918 5000 (from Sunday to Thursday, between 13.30-15.30) . From 1 January 2025, applications for D-type visas for study purposes are to be submitted to VFS Global Outsourcing Company in Tehran (except for Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship applicants and non-Iranian citizens, who may continue to apply at the Consular Section of the Embassy).
Schengen C visa submission appointment has to be booked through the website of the VFS Global.
We inform our clients that the Consular Section of the Hungarian Consulate General is closed on both Iranian and Hungarian national holidays.
